It did the job of being spooky in my Halloween graveyard...I have to say it was probably my favorite "ground breaker". The stakes are pretty flimsy, but if you poke a hole first in hard ground, then put the stakes in, they work well enough. I may end up purchasing another one for next year. A word of caution though...it is "weather proof" as long as you don't touch it when it's wet from rain or dew. If you do try to dry it off, the white and black "highlight paint" will rub off. Rinse it off from being in the ground, just don't "wash" it.
Want to create the Halloween decorations of your dreams? We think Freddy Krueger window cling is the piece you’re looking for. This cling shows Freddie Krueger at his most menacing. He’s sure to cause jumps and shrieks from folks who walk by your home. Just try not to display this masterpiece in your bedroom. He just might work his way into your dreams.
Take your Halloween party to the next level with our Halloween decorations! We have lots of unique props and Halloween decorations to choose from to make your event extra memorable. Whether you want a pirate chest to keep your beverages chilled or a webcaster gun that will quickly add realistic spider webs to your decor, we have all the best decorations right here!

The head and arms are made from a heavy weight plastic, not out of foam. They are full human size with the face being 8" from chin to top of forehead. There is a concealed stake included to keep the head from blowing away and both "arms" are stakes. It will be a great add to any creepy Halloween graveyard. Just add a little mulch around it to give the appearance of crawling out of the ground. The color is darker than the picture and I like it!

Step 1: Purchase an indoor/outdoor needle-punch carpet. To turn it into a circle: Mark the rug's center point with a Prismacolor white-colored pencil. Measure and mark the distance from that point to a spot about half an inch from the rug's edge. Cut a piece of string to that length. Tie one end of the string to the pencil and secure the other end of the string to the rug's center point with a tack. Pull the string taut and draw a large circle onto the rug; remove the string. Cut out the circle, just inside the white pencil mark, with sharp scissors.

While decorating ideas can be difficult to come across, this spider webby idea can scare anyone. Window clings create a scary giant spider and web. Rat clings can be added to the bottom of the window or the screen door to show a better, scarier scene. The spider web can be created from a window cling or from the fake spider webs available around this time of year. DIY Halloween door decorations have a lot going on this one – the spider and its web can be created with window paint and a steady hand instead of store bought materials, or with tape.

October is a weird month. It’s a season of colorful skies and leaves. But it’s also a month with misty, cold mornings and dark, scraggly trees. It’s fun to mix and match the elements with Halloween décor. A glowing graveyard scene looks plenty cheerful in the light of day, making little kids hoot and holler in holiday excitement as they head home from school. But then night comes along and your little scene will remind the adults walking about of the fear and excitement they felt when they were children. While Christmas décor might inspire folks to go home and drink cocoa, your décor will make people want to curl up in front of their favorite horror movie under a cozy blanket. Sweet or spooky, it’s all about getting into the holiday spirit!
Create your own creepy graveyard scene with our Halloween tombstones and outdoor cemetery decorations, all-weather outdoor Halloween decorations that are good for indoor use as well. Everyone’s been waiting all month for one big night. Kids are hooting and hollering in the street to go door to door begging for treats. Are you prepared to put the scare into this weird and wild night? Remember to involve all the elements in your front yard décor. Smoke machines can make a misty atmosphere. Glowing lights can catch the eye of trick-or-treaters from blocks away. And don’t forget to play some scary music so people can get some spooks before they get their sweets.
Cast a sinister glow over any setting with a cluster of white tapers dripping with "blood" (actually red candle wax). Fill a cup or a small pail with sand, and plant white candles inside so they stand upright. Light a red candle and tip it over the white candles so the wax drips down the tops and sides, being careful not to burn yourself. Let wax cool completely before removing candles from sand.
This tablescape features the Baskin-Robbins Pumpkin Patch and Haunted House Ice Cream cake.  The Haunted House cake is perfect for the “spooky” elment while the Pumpkin Patch Cake adds the “sweet”.  Your Halloween cakes or DIY centerpieces should be pleasing to the eye, coordinate with the theme of the table, and if your guests are lucky ~ be edible.  {wink}
Tempt your Halloween party guests with an array of candies masquerading as botanical or nautical artifacts. To begin, fill large glass jars with sweets, and then mark each jar with a label that sounds convincing—here, the meringues are "jellyfish skeletons"—while being completely made up. If you don't have a cabinet, you can create your own by arranging the jars in wooden cubbies or crates; we painted these a deep slate gray.
Drum up excitement for the season when you dress up your house and yard! You didn’t think Halloween costumes were just for people, did you? Your house deserves a seasonal look as well. After all, this time comes but once a year!

Create giant gothic lanterns using nothing more than our instructions, clip-art designs, and simple supplies. First, print out all of the following templates: this snake lantern, another spooky snake option, and the frog lantern as well. To begin, cut out one of the lantern templates, and trace it four times, side by side, on black paper. Use a bone folder to crease the areas where the sides meet before cutting it out. Print four copies of your chosen design onto vellum using a laser printer, and then cut each piece just larger than the frame's windows. Tape the vellum into a frame, and form into a lamp shape before taping the edges. To finish, cut a 26-inch length of wire and twist a loop in the middle of it; poke the wire ends through the paper to make two holes at the edge of the lantern. Use pliers to roll ends of wire to secure; and then use monofilament to hang two battery-operated votive candles, taped end to end, inside the lantern. Finally, use twine and a removable advise hanger to suspend the lantern in your chosen space.
Protect your work surface from paint using newspaper or a drop sheet. Place the tin container on the newspaper with the opening facing down. Following the instructions provided on the paint can, apply the orange spray paint to the outside of the tin container. Repeat as needed until you achieve the desired coverage (in our case, 5-6 coats of spray paint were needed for full coverage). Leave it to dry fully before moving on to the next steps.

What is it about Halloween that transforms ordinary people into seekers of anything dark and unknown?  Cemeteries by night, horror films by day and one of the most popular and oldest Halloween traditions to date - the haunted house!    A haunted house is defined as a building that is the center for supernatural occurrences or paranormal phenomena.  To create these chilling and disturbing effects when designing your own haunted house, you’ll need some amazing animated special effect props that are sure to terrify.  Here at Halloween Express, you’ll find the decorations and props needed that will give your haunted house the illusion that actors, animatronics, sound, lighting and other special effects bring to today’s haunted houses that make them such nightmarish venues.  A good haunted house should terrify, shock and disorient its patrons and then have them laughing at their own fears upon exiting.
Of course, you can’t have a foggy atmosphere without fog liquid. Unless, of course, you’re going to wait for mother nature to serve up a cloudy ambience. Unfortunately, she rarely serves up fog when you want her to! Make sure you’re prepared to finish off your Halloween scene with a flourish on Halloween night. Bringing in a fog has never been this cool!
To eerily embrace the Halloween season, one must also embrace its history. The Celtic folklore believed the souls of the dead come back to life and walk among the living on Halloween night.  To make these “souls” feel right at home, many get into the Halloween spirit by decorating their homes and yards with tombstones, skeletons, ghosts and grim reapers.
I am beyond disappointed with this thing! It is so cheap looking I'm actually embarrassed to give it to my aunt as a Christmas gift! Thanks a lot for being super misleading in the photos!!! The fabric on the sleeves are already unraveling and it's like they were in a hurry painting the eyes and teeth with white paint or a 3 year old did it or they put it in their machine half A$$sed. There's not even a black pupil on the eyes. The white is NOT even on the eyes or the teeth its like way off. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND EMBARRASSED! Luckily I have an artistic friend who will take care of it. And there's no instructions or anything on it, just a cheap looking hand and head in a plastic bag...... EMBARRASSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using wood and spray paint, make teeth for your house. The teeth are free handed to create a menacing look. There are edges on the sides to hold the teeth up so that there is no need to use nails. Permanent markers are used to mark out the teeth on the wood before cutting them out. Spray paint in white, red, and black is used to create bloody gums and tips of the teeth and decaying teeth. The eyes are created with card board and permanent marker (in two shades of whatever color). Red is added and voila! Hang them up and your house is ready to eat anyone alive. Halloween front door decors have never been so creepy, or so versatile – this makes a great addition to any haunted house.

Frankenstein saw inspiration in the most grotesque of scavenging—here, we took a note from his book and constructed a bare-bones table decoration. The table legs are legs indeed—store-bought faux bones. To make it, trim the thigh bones: Use saw to cut the legs to 1 inch less than the desired table height (to account for tabletop). Next, stabilize the knees: Take each leg apart at the knee; unscrew the hardware, and remove the kneecap. Connect shin bone to thighbone with one double-threaded screw (3/16-by-3 inches). Lastly, stabilize the ankles: Position one foot so it rests flat on the floor, and generously squeeze epoxy into the hinge that makes the ankle flex. Repeat with the remaining legs. Let it dry and cure overnight at least before moving onto the next step. Attach the legs to the table: Decide where you want the legs, and drill pilot holes through tabletop. Place each leg underneath the pilot hole, then screw to attach. Put putty over the screws, and let it dry. Sand until smooth. Paint the tabletop a skeletal white.
Just because it's Halloween doesn't mean you have to treat your yard like it's the set of a horror movie! Stay original and keep things beautiful with Southwestern-inspired decorating ideas, which will keep your home looking pretty well into the fall season. Try filling a distressed crate with pumpkins (retro-inspired coolers work too!). You can also add a bouquet of fresh flowers to a plaid vintage Thermos, and paint pumpkins with Southwestern-inspired designs.

Transform the inside of your home with eerily creepy Halloween accessories to create the perfect scary setting. Mood lighting gets a spooky twist with LED black willow branches or mini votive candles, perfect for a grown-up Halloween party or any other Halloween entertaining. Show of your spooktacular Halloween spirit with a howling wolf rug, metallic skulls and some Dia de los Muertos decor. Toss in a few festive throw pillows for an instant update..

From the window to the wall, you can decorate every inch of your home when you shop at Spirit! We offer a wide selection of Halloween window and wall decorations that will have your home crawling with scares. If you want your house to have a classically haunted style, then you can hang up some gothic portraits and a skull fireplace wall cling. Add some eerie music and maybe a pop-up coffin, and all of your guests will start to wonder if they've stumbled back in time and into a vampire's lair! And whether you dress up as the vampire or leave the creepy count a mystery to everyone is completely up to you.
These easy, inexpensive window treatments are a spooky addition to windows for Halloween. Trim a paper window shade from a home store to fit your window, then print our templates before cutting them out and tracing them onto thin white paper (such as white kraft paper). Cut these out, and then stretch and tape your window shade flat onto a safe work surface. Spray the back of the ghost cut out with adhesive, then press it onto the shade.
If crepe paper, duct tape, and paper plates have one thing in common, it’s that they can create wonderful Halloween front door decors. Pick up some crepe paper in any color that contrasts your door and hang strips from the top of the door. The paper plates become the eyes when black circles are drawn on. Duct tape them on the door. Then use the duct tape to create eye brows and a mouth. Style it however you want. Kids across the neighborhood will enjoy looking at your creepy monster, and it’ll be a hoot to create if your own kids help. Even if you don’t have kids, this monster gives the creator one great time while putting it up.

If you want the perfect jump scares, then consider an animatronic that's motion or sound censored. Imagine the look on a trick-or-treater's face when they reach for candy in a bowl on a dummy's lap, only for the creature to come to life when they get too close! Or have one of our "bump and go" animatronics roam around any room of your home, or down a long and ominous hallway. From twisted clowns and scary scarecrows to witches and horrifying zombies, our wide selection of Halloween animatronics means that you can find the perfect characters for your haunted home.
